Visual Identity for Shelter Afrique 38TH AGM Meeting

The task was to develop a visual identity for Shelter Afrique 38Th Annual General Meeting.

The concept was inspired by the uniquely exotic, magical and mysterious nature of the Kingdom of Morocco and their culture.

The Logo Concept Background

The uniquely exotic, magical and mysterious nature of the Kingdom of Morocco was fully explored while developing these logo concepts which we believe would be perfect for the Shelter Afrique 38th Annual General Meeting.

From their antique form of architecture, to their vibrant culture, to their success in social housing construction, this kingdom is truly an inspiration.

Idea

The Concept

This concept incorporated the popular Zellige decorations, which are patterns on individually chiselled geometric tiles used for decorating Moroccan homes as a statement of distinction. The number 38 was ‘chiselled’ to create a customized Zellige decoration for the 38th AGM.

We view this as a way of paying homage to the rich heritage of Moroccan architecure and the nation’s exemplary appreciation for afordable housing.
